Sara Palmer, Ph.D. is the Chief Executive Officer for Balanced Living Behavioral Health, LLC.
She has always loved helping others understand their barriers and mental health triggers. She loves how helping others with their physical space and how it can make a person feel calm inside, organized in their mind, and can help the person decompress when a space is organized. She loves to teach others how to organize their space and help them better understand the why of organizing their mental and physical spaces.
Her background as an educator for more than a decade (teaching graduate psychology classes for Purdue University Global) and experience in behavioral health are the perfect combination to have a mental health agency to help others.
Sara has her B.S. in Psychology, M.S. in Educational Psychology, and Ph.D. in General Psychology with an emphasis in Cognition and Instruction. Her Ph.D. degree allows her to focus on the educational piece of mental health to teach coping skills and behavioral strategies.

Nichole has her B.A. in Criminal Justice Administration from Boise State University and her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Idaho State University. Nichole has been working in mental health since 2007 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Idaho.

During Shelley's time at Grand Canyon University, she gained extensive knowledge in various therapeutic modalities and honed their skills through rigorous coursework and hands-on clinical training. This education provided a strong foundation in understanding complex mental health issues and developing effective treatment plans.
Shelley has a rich background working with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI), secured residential treatment centers for felons, and community-based programs such as Community-Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS) and Case Management (CM). Additionally, Shelley has facilitated groups focused on anger management, early intervention, and relapse prevention, helping clients develop essential skills for managing their emotions and maintaining their
recovery.
Shelley employs an integrative approach to counseling, blending person-centered therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused techniques to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs. Shelley is passionate about working with individuals struggling with substance use, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending time with her family, road trips, and paddleboarding. These activities not only provide relaxation and joy but also inspire creativity and balance in Shelley’s professional practice.
